First lace socks.

I am so pleased with myself! I finished my first lace socks.
I bought this Fiber Trends Lupine Lace Sock pattern at the Stitch & Pitch.
Not too difficult, a good starter lace pattern. After a few mistakes on the cuff I was off and running. I finished the first one in about 3 days, the second took a little longer. I carried it around completed sans a closed toe for about a week. I just don’t get real jazzed about kitchener stitch.
And now here they are. I love them. I am casting on another pair in the STR Calico colorway. I also have cast on the Marina Piccola socks by Kate Gilbert. Kate is well known for her Clapotis pattern.

They look amazing! The lace looks great. I just finished a pair of simple ribbed socks with some Socks that Rock from my stash. (I know it’s a crime that I had 2 skeins in my stash.) My first sock didn’t have a toe for a week either. I finished it on a plane and couldn’t remember how to do kitchener. Of course, I couldn’t wait to start the second stock (being stuck on a plane helps you get over second sock syndrome). So I stuck the toe on scrap yarn and cast on.
