Add New Page

Note: While we encourage adding content, make sure to search WikiKnitting for a page before adding it.

When you use one of the input boxes below to create new page, it bases the page off a template. This helps to keep the pages consistent and makes the site easier to use.

[edit] Add a New Stitch

Type the name of the stitch into the box below. The stitch name should be the full name of the stitch. This will become the name of the new page. ex: Slip Slip Knit.

[edit] Add a New Pattern

The name of a pattern should be descriptive. ex. Betty's Simple Ribbed Scarf. Avoid using overly generic names ex. blue scarf.

[edit] Add a New Tool

Before creating a page for a new tool make sure it can't be incorporated as a new section on an already existing page. Type the name of the tool into the box below. The tool name should be descriptive. This will become the name of the new page. ex: Crochet Hook.

Before creating a page for a new book please search the site to see if it already exists. Type the title of the book into the box below. This will become the name of the new page. ex: A Treasury of Knitting Patterns

[edit] Add a New Yarn Manufacturer

Before creating a new page for a yarn manufacturer please search the site to see if it already exists. Type the name of the manufacturer into the box below. This will become the name of the new page. ex: Blue Moon Fiber Arts

[edit] Add a New Yarn Summary

Before creating a yarn summary page please search the site to see if it already exists. Type the name of the yarn into the box below. This will become the name of the new page. ex: Cascade 220

[edit] Add a New Blank Page

Use this when what you want to add doesn't fit into any of the above categories. You will be given a blank page on which to add content. The name you enter into the box will become the name for the page, so choose wisely!
