[edit] Instructions

  1. Cast on several stitches onto a double pointed needle. The number of stitches you cast on will depend on how large you want the cord to be (5-8 is typical).
  2. Knit all stitches in the row.
  3. Without turning the work, slide these stitches to the opposite end of the double pointed needle (from the left end to the right end).
  4. Keeping the yarn behind your work, knit the first stitch on the right end of the needle. Pull the stitch tight to close the gap between the stitches.
  5. Repeat Steps 2-4 until the I-cord reaches the desired length.
