The Make One increase makes an almost invisible increase and is ideal for stockinette fabric. The increase should be made at least one stitch in from the edge.

  • With the right needle pick up the ladder in between the stitch on the right and left needles.
  • Place it on the left needle, so it looks like a regular knit stitch.
  • Knit into the back of the stitch. Knitting into the back of the stitch will twist the stitch preventing a hole from appearing below the increase.
