[edit] Instructions

Purling into the back of a stitch is slight variation of the purl stitch. Instead of inserting the needle from right to left through the front loop, the needle is inserted from left to right through the back loop and then purled. This results in a twisted purl stitch, which can be seen on the opposite side of the fabric.
