[edit] Summary

I designed this wash cloth as a way to play with a few new concepts for me: knitted cast on, Threaded Stitch, and a sewn cast-off. I was really impressed with how the threaded stitch came out. If you have trouble getting the stitch, visit the Threaded Stitch page for more detail.

  1. Use 1 size 7 needle and one size 10 needle.
  2. Cast on 34 stitches onto the larger needle with a knitted or other cast on

Then knit the second stitch and pull the loop through the first stitch, but don't drop it off the second needle. Now, knit into the back of the 1st stitch and drop both stitches off the left needle together. Repeat until 3 stitches remain on your left needle. k3.
